Altered Valentine Altoid tin with Mini Album-May Arts

Hi Jenifer here with you today to share a fun altered Altoid tin with you.  I have seen these on Pinterest and finally took the plunge.  I can't even begin to tell you how much fun these are to alter and I can guarantee that there will be many more altered tins in my future.

Trace the outside of the altoid tin to get a good template for the outside, then make sure you get a nice fit for everything on the inside.  Take note of what you want to put inside of the tin, there is not much room.  The Smitten collection from Authentique, make putting this little mini and altered tin very easy to put together.  I plan to put little notes on the tag and in the little envelopes.

Valentine Heart Banner-May Arts

I'm getting ready for Valentines day are you?

Hi this is Jenifer here with you to share another fun Valentine's project with you using the Authentique Smitten collection and of course some fantastic May Arts ribbons.

This project is very easy to do.  Find or cut out a heart shape in a few sizes and then layer with the patterned paper, coffee filter, heart doily and heart punch until you get the desired look.  Add a beautiful lace, ric rac, or eyelet around the edge.  Add some flowers and what ever you desire on the hearts to make them extra special.  Punch a hole on each side and loop some silk ribbon through the holes and hang as desired.  I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's day and would love to see your banner if you make one :)

Love Embroidery Hoop-Curtsey Boutique

Ready for Valentines Day?  I'm getting there :)  Here is a fun post up on the Curtsey Boutique blog go check it out.
Altered Love Embroidery Hoop
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jenifer Cowles

A quick walk through my local department stores this week revealed that everyone is getting ready for Valentine's Day. It seems scarcely possible with the ground still littered with fire work remnants, but there it is - red, pink and white hearts everywhere.

I thought we'd hop on the band wagon instead of fighting the love avalanche. Jenifer's altered embroidery hoop is a charming decoration to hang at home or give to a friend.
