I am excited to announce that I am a Designer for Love my Fabrics and I can't wait to get started. But as we patiently wait for fabric to arrive we have been asked to show how we store our Fabric and Notions. Well I am pretty spoiled and I came across this beauty several years ago and with a little elbow grease and some sandpaper and finish I have it plum full of thread, needles, velcro, zippers and really anything you could think of.
On the top I have my embroidery threads and some large jars of buttons. I highly recommend if you ever come across one of these at a reasonable price then snatch it up. These 60 drawers hold endless treasures.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, leave me a link I would love to see how you store your notions.
Hi there Ruby Rock-It fans, I hope things are well with you and you can now sit back and enjoy your holidays. I have to say I am loving this altered tin I came up with. I have a hard time throwing away cool boxes, tins and jars and every once and awhile they do come in handy.
I decorated around the box with some of the beautiful papers from the Celebrate and Betrothed collection and the made some beautiful flower for the top with the awesome vellum. I am loving the gold and silver together lately and Ruby Rock-It does it just beautifully.
I found these fun envelopes here and made 12, I used cardstock and the Betrothed token paper and cut the blank ones apart and adhered them to the cardstock and stapled some pretty ribbon to the tops. All that is needed now is some fun activities to go with the tags and you are ready to go.
Here is a picture of the original tin :) I have a few more I can't wait to use.
Happy Holidays Ruby Rock-It fans!! This is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun Christmas countdown piece I made. I love it and even though it is not in your traditional Christmas colors I think that I will not be getting tired of it any time soon.
I first created an origami shadow box with a lovely piece of patterned paper from the Celebrate line, it was pretty easy to do and I am loving the results so be prepared for some more projects with these in the future.
I then took my frame and adhered it to a glittered snowflake and a doily to give it some stability. I used some Spellbinders Dies for the flowers using some Sugar Candy and some May Arts ribbons to really make everything pop. I used a piece of Chalk board paper for the countdown, and with just a few fun finishing touches we are good to go.
Here is a close up of the flower cluster.
This is a Tim Holtz bottle brush tree that I wrapped some twine from the Handi Scandi Collection and some loose pearls and a fun little star on the top.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Holiday!!
Hi there Ruby Rock-It fans, this is Jenifer here with you today to share some of the prettiest papers I have ever seen. They all have this wonderful pearl glow to them, that makes it hard to pick up on camera but trust me it is gorgeous. I think I say this every time but I think this is my new favorite layout. It came together beautifully with the soft feminine palette and some awesome Freckled Fawn goodies and you have a winning combination..
I just can't create anything without a pretty little flower cluster and this layout is no exception :) I combined a Bella Floral with some hand made flowers from the My Romance collection and setting it on top of this little felt Freckled Fawn Doily.
You can make these little banners by layering ribbons and papers together and putting them under the eyelet ribbon.
The wood element and the "a lovely day"stamp along with the little heart are all from Freckled Fawn and all of the pieces really work together to make this layout shine.
Welcome to the May Arts Holiday Sweets post. My daughter has really been into baking lately and it is definitely showing on our ever growing waist lines so we have been giving away a ton of her wonderful baked goods. The cookies pictured are some chocolate with peanut butter chip cookie that she created combining a few recipes together, they are wonderful. DCWV has these fun little goodie boxes that you just punch out of the stack and fold. I glued them to a cardstock base just to give them a little bit more stability and tied the tops with some Silk ribbons and decorated. Easy Peasy!

Welcome to the DCWV and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Winter blog hop! Dec 8-12 both blogs will be sharing fun winter projects featuring products from both companies! Check in each day on both blogs for chances to win lots of fabulous prizes! Today is my turn and I created this fun layout of my youngest's first Christmas. He was just so mesmerized by the lights that I just had to put together this layout.
I used the Winter in the Woods 6x6 and 12x12 stack and the Winter tag stack and Faber-Castell Gelatos. I love using Gelatos they give everything a nice soft warm hue. On my kraft stock I just colored in a little bit under my picture and then using a paintbrush with some water on it just went over it to blend it, nice and easy.
Here is a close up of the May Arts flowers. I took the Gelatos in "snow cone" and dipped my brush in water and then on the gelato and gave my white flowers a soft watercolor effect. It's a little hard to see in the picture but they have a soft blue tint in the center and go so nicely with the layout.
Hi Therm O Web fans!! The Holiday's are upon us already, we were tasked with making Ornaments from some awesome fabrics. I received this chalkboard print that I just loved and I wanted to take advantage of the fun designs and sayings that were already on the fabric.
These are very easy to put together and you have several done within 30 minutes or so. Using Heat N Bond Lite adhere to the back of the fabric you are going to use. Then run the Heat N Bonded fabric through the Die Cut machine using desired dies. Peel off backing and iron onto paper and decorate as desired.
Dear Santa Shaker Ornament: Follow directions as stated above. Sew a piece of tulle around 3 of the sides, insert sequins and large mica flakes and sew along last side. Sew or adhere ribbons along the bottom using Super Tape. Hang as desired.
Joy Ornament: Follow directions as stated above. Ruffle a piece of tulle down the middle and sew it to the center of a piece of ribbon adhere it to the back of the tag using Super Tape. To give the ornament some extra sparkle you could use stickles or spray it with Glitter Dust for an overall sparkle.
Here are my ornaments together with some glitter sparkle snowflakes that I think will be just perfect on my tree.
I hope you have enjoyed my project today and I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season.
Hi DCWV fans, this is Jenifer here with you today to share my very first post as a new DT member. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to be a part of this team.
I thought I would do something a little bit different so I put together this fun ornament for Christmas. I made another one a few days ago and now I just can't stop. Believe it or not it was made from a soap box.
See I told you it was made from a soap box:)
Using the Winter in the Woods Stack (both the 6x6 and the 12x12 stacks) I adhered paper on all sides then using Wow Embossing powders I went around all of the edges give it a frosted glass feeling to the ornament.
I attached some May Arts silk ribbons and wired beads to the top and a Wow medallion to the center and now I just have to figure out if it will sit on a shelf as a display piece or do I hang it on the tree? What would you do with it?
Hi there Ruby Rock-It fans its Jenifer here with you today for another W on Wednesday project for you. I have gone over several reasons why I do scrapbooking and so I thought I would include another reason. Sometimes you take an amazing photo or a have a perfect picture that takes you back to the time the picture was taken or when and where a vacation took place. That is what this photo does for me. The swarm of butterflies on the shore of the lake takes me back to the perfect camping trip we went on over 10 years ago. I also thought it would be fun to see how many collections I could get on 1 layout as well :)
The yellows, blacks and grays bring just the perfect amount of pop to this layout. I layered until I thought it was perfect and I have to admit this is one of my all time favorite layouts. I went around some of the layers with a pen just to make it stand out a little bit more.
Here is a close up of my cluster.
I challenge you to use a photo that really speaks to you or takes you back to a perfect day. Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my layout and I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season.
